Two people murdered in Spring Branch near Bauer Pocket Park

On October 30, 2024, a 16-year-old teenager has been charged with capital murder of two people in a shooting last month near a Spring Branch park.

Houston police said that the 16-year-old teenage boy was arrested on Tuesday without incident. The charges stem from a shooting at 2201 Bauer Drive on Thursday, Sept. 12.

Police said that the victims got into an altercation that turned into a gunfight. The two men – identified as Jaquez Moore, 24, and Deric Ward, 16 – were found at the scene and pronounced dead.
